Elly Kelly - all things accordion
Here Comes……..Elly Kelly (Marie Elemonde Arsenault)
Nothing starts fans feet moving quicker than a good old-time tune played by someone who takes their music seriously. Elly Kelly is that person. Not unlike Floyd Cramer who had a unique touch that produced a sound all his own on piano, Elly Kelly has her own special touch on accordion. You can sense that she loves the music and ‘lives’ each note while she plays it!
Elly grew up in a musical Acadian family in St.Charles, New Brunswick. Her love of music started at a young age and she received a guitar for Christmas when she was 12 years old. She switched to playing accordion when she was 13 and joined her Mom, Dad and brother at square dances, jamborees and talent shows by her 14th birthday.
Elly took time off to raise 3 children and now, with the support of her husband Joe and the entire family she’s now back doing what she enjoys most. Playing Music! At the Classic Country Reunion event in Trenton, On in 2006 the audience response was so overwhelming it brought Elly to tears. She states “It finally hit me that all I want to do is play music and make people happy!”
If you like old time, happy music played by a foot-stompin’ accordion player who loves nothing better than performing, give this CD a spin and you’ll know why I say:
Here Comes…….. Elly Kelly
To make you happy!
