Elly Kelly: Home
Elly Kelly has successfully battled breast cancer and has announced her schedule for the summer 2010! Elly was happy to learn that no further treatment isrequired. On May 27, Elly also lost her husband Joe, to cancer. These have been troubling times for Elly; however, she hopes to gain strength over the next while by performing to many audiences throughout the summer.
In the months leading up to his death, Joe made it clear that he wanted Elly to keep performing and to grow more as a musician. Joe was Elly's biggest supporter and was instrumental in Elly's development as an entertainer over the past 5 years. At his funeral, Elly performed "Going Home" and was supported by her son Terry (guiter) and Steve Piticco (guitar). As you could imagine, this was a very moving and touching moment.
Thank you to all of Elly's family members, friends and music friends that have provided endless support through these difficult times.
Let's celebrate Joe's life this summer and have some fun with some down home maritime music!!!!!!
Elly appreciates all of the fan mail and encouraging words she has received over the past while and draws strength from knowing her music is making people happy all over the world.
